The Malayalam action thriller Marko, starring Unni Mukundan, has made a significant impact at the box office with impressive collections. According to Sacnilk, on its opening day, the film earned ₹4.3 crore in India, followed by ₹4.65 crore on the second day, showing a growth of 8.14%.

Made on a budget of ₹30 crore, this film has earned ₹8.95 crore at the domestic box office in just two days.

Directed by Haneef Adeni, Marko follows the journey of the main character, Marko, as he seeks revenge for the murder of his visually impaired brother, Viktor.

The story revolves around a gold empire, where betrayal and hidden enemies complicate Marko’s quest for justice. Meanwhile, his family becomes involved in this bloody struggle.

The film has been praised for its bold approach, with critics highlighting its intense action scenes and Ravi Basrur’s adrenaline-pumping background score. Chandru Selvaraj’s cinematography and the stunning production design have enhanced the film’s visual appeal.

The stylish action scenes in Marko, including a fight on a staircase and a first-person shooter-style corridor scene, have been compared to large-scale presentations in Indian cinema.

Unni Mukundan’s performance as Marko is considered one of the film’s biggest strengths. His portrayal of an ultra-masculine, revenge-driven character shows charisma and dominance.
