Bank holidays January 2025 : The year 2025 has started, bank related work will have to be done, hence it is very important to know when are the bank holidays. The list of bank holidays has been released by Reserve Bank Of India (RBI).
There are total 13 bank holidays in the month of January 2025 out of which 1st January (New Year’s day / Loosong / Namsong) was a bank holiday, 2nd January (Loosong / Namsong / New Year Celebration) and today 5th January is Sunday holiday.
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays which is based on certain factors like festival, national and state observance, culture or religious traditions, government directives and coordination with other bank.

January 19- Sunday
